I am an Australian native plant featuring purple flowers all year around, but most prolifically in spring and summer. I have a low rounded form and a spreading habit.
My blooms have petals on one side, leading to my common name "Fan Flower".
My flower spikes have an upright habit with my numerous blooms upwards facing. My blooms are in beautiful contrast against my dense lime green foliage.
I am fast growing and an ideal choice for container planting, borders or as a ground cover.
My dense habit means I outcompete many weeds.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
My stems are topped with purple-blue fan shaped flowers which bend back in a "salute" all year round
I am a groundcover plant ideal for cascading over retaining walls, in borders and rockeries
I grow well in pots and other containers, a great way to brighten up patios and paved areas
