I am a tough Australian native groundcover, suitable in most conditions.
I produce small delightful white flowers in spring to summer, which are followed by edible berries that are traditionally consumed as a bush food.
My low height, rapid horizontal growth and dense foliage makes me perfect for controlling weeds and erosion.
I am perfect for planting alongside roads and pathways, in wide borders, rain gardens, and covering untidy objects.
Hardy I am tolerant of frost, drought and coastal conditions, and need little water once established.
I thrive in full sun, but tolerate part shade.
I prefer well-drained soil, but tolerate a large range of soil pH levels.
I need very little maintenance, however, an annual edge prune is recommended. Give me an aggressive prune every 4-5 years if needed to maintain my height. Avoid pruning me in winter and summer.
Caution: Foliage toxic if eaten
