My beautiful aromatic upright blooms are mauve to purple deep purple are adorned with showy white “butterfly wings”. I can be cut back at any time of year and a reasonable trim in autumn after my blooms have faded is beneficial. I have excellent disease resistance and am an excellent choice for borders, garden edges, rockeries and in pots. I am a steady grower that is long lived. I attract bees and beneficial insects.
I make an excellent cut flower to be enjoyed indoors. My dried flowers retain their fragrance and are a good choice for drawer sachets.
I am popular and will make you happy because...

Hardy and adaptable I am just as happy garden planted or in a pot, a great way to brighten paved areas
Suited to borders, rockeries and mass planting, plant me wherever my fragrance and flowers can be appreciated
