I am a native clumping perennial with attractive blue-green upright strappy leaves.
Requiring little to no maintenance I am great mass planted where I can introduce a strong architectural element to the landscape.
My blooms are star shaped with prominent yellow stamens appearing in spring and summer.
My flowers are followed by shiny, dark blue berries. My strappy foliage can add structure in a mixed garden or as a mass planting.
Particularly hardy I tolerate of dry periods and frost.
I attract native bees and beneficial insects to the garden.
I happy in most soil but avoid planting me in wet or boggy locations.
Caution: Harmful if eaten
