I am a family of vigorous climbing plants with tiny flowers year round but am characterised by my showy bracts in a broad range of vibrant colours.
I do best when provided with a structure to climb on like a trellis or pergola but will become a ground cover if not provided with something to climb.
I come in a range of varieties some of which remain small and are suited to container planting and others bigger and more vigorous which will quickly cover a fence to create a colourful screening hedge.
I respond well to pruning to the extent that I can be an interesting bonsai specimen.
Hardy to most conditions but will perform at my best in full sun.
I am popular and will make you happy because...
My prolific tiny white flowers have large bracts in a broad range of vibrant colours year round
I am a climbing plant with green or variegated foliage and will densely cover any suitable frame or support
Given a suitable support to climb I make an excellent colourful screen
