Southern Plants™ on The Block | Can You Spot Our Plants?
Southern Plants™ is supplying plants for the houses on Channel 9's The Block. Every Friday at the Bunnings sausage sizzle, contestants throw tennis balls at Northcote pots to win pots and plants. Watch along, and see how many of ours you can spot.

We're on telly! Southern Plants™ is very proud to be supplying plants for the houses on Channel 9's The Block this season.
As the contestants race to finish their homes, our plants are helping turn bare courtyards into gardens, empty balconies into green retreats and new houses into homes. Whether it's a privacy screen along the back fence, a pop of colour in a shady corner or a statement pot by the front door, we've grown them to be ready for their close-up.
Friday nights: sausages, tennis balls and a lot of pots
Every Friday, the Bunnings sausage sizzle brings the contestants together for one of the most competitive moments of the week, and this year it comes with a garden twist.
Here's how it works. A row of numbered Northcote pots is lined up and each contestant gets a handful of tennis balls. Land a ball in a pot and you win that many Northcote pots, plus the same number of Southern Plants™ to fill them. Sink one in pot number 8 and you take home 8 pots and 8 plants.
There's tactical lobbing, ricochets off the rim, at least one ball rolling under the sausage table, and a lot of cheering. It's one of the more fun ways we've seen a garden come together.
Can you spot our plants?
Here's our challenge to you. Each week, keep an eye on the backyards, balconies and front entries and see how many Southern Plants™ you can spot. Look out for:
Bloc It® plants making green walls and privacy screens
Small Spaces™ compact plants on balconies and in courtyards
Mighty Tuff® plants that can take the heat (and the tradies)
Nature's Nectar® natives bringing birds and bees into the garden
Shades of Colour™ plants brightening the shady spots
Seen one? Tell us on socials and tag us. We'd love to see your spots.
Grown for the spotlight, grown for everyday
The plants you'll see on The Block are the same ones we grow every day for landscapers, garden centres and home gardeners across Australia. They're grown in Victoria using natural sunlight, recycled water and renewable energy, and they come in 100% recycled, recyclable pots.
We've been growing in Australia for more than 75 years and we're trusted for quality, large quantities and fast, reliable delivery. Seeing our plants on national TV is a proud moment for the whole team.
So grab a snag, get comfy and see how many you can spot.
Better Plants. Better Planet.
